Anybody can submit to Costume Maker Magazine. As you know, we are a magazine by costume makers, for costume makers. :] Once you read the Terms and Agreements and submit something, we will review and and let you know whether or not it will be published.

Keep in mind that the print magazine is printed roughly once a year. If you want your article to show up sooner it is probably better to submit it to the blog. If you feel like you have a refined, polished article that you want to show off in print, submit it to the magazine. :]

You can submit as many things as you like. But if you begin submitting excessive amounts at once, it is much less likely all of your submissions will be published. We have to give everyone a chance to be published. ;p

Submit Written Work

Many things constitute as written work:

  • How-Tos
  • Reviews of products/books
  • Reviews of conventions/fairs
  • General costuming articles

Submitting Photos or Images

Submitting Photos

To submit pictures of your own costumes, please send it them submit@costumemakermagazine.com with the following information:

  • Your name (Real name or alias; will be displayed) & author information you’d like (email, website, ect)
  • Where you are submitting to (blog or print magazine)
  • Name of the Costume
  • A short description of the costume (optional)
  • (If it’s a cosplay) The name of the character and series
  • Name of the person in the photo
  • Name of the photographer (if you feel it’s needed)
  • Whether or not you agree to the Terms and Agreements
  • The image attached (please no smaller than 300×400 pixels!)

  • Your name (Real name or alias; will be displayed) & author information you’d like (email, website, ect)
  • Where you are submitting to (blog or print magazine)
  • Name/Title of image
  • A short description of the image
  • Whether or not you agree to the Terms and Agreements
  • The image attached (please no smaller than 300×400 pixels!)
